To embrace the principle of excellence in advancing the teaching, learning, research and service mission of the institute through the acquisition, organization and management of collections to full fill the needs of library and information centre users.

Library Computerization
The Library uses an integrated multi-user library management system that supports all in-house operations of the Library. The Easylib consists of modules on acquisition, cataloguing, circulation, serials, article indexing and OPAC. Retrospective conversion of bibliographic records has been completed and more than 16975 bibliographic records of books available in the Library can now be accessed through the OPAC Search. The database of books available in the Library is being updated on day to day basis with details of recently acquired books. The editing and updating activities are in progress.

User Guidelines
Membership:
Every user has to become a member of the library in order to borrow resources from the library. The library membership form ( available in the library) has to be filled and submitted along with 1 stamp size & 1 passport size photograph of the member.

Reservation of library books
Users can put a hold on the required book(s) through the OPAC system and follow up with the library staff if the book(s) is out of print. When the reserved book is due for return or renewal, library staff will return it and provide the reserved user with the same book.
Loss of library material
If a borrowed library document is lost, the borrower should notify the librarian as soon as possible in writing.
  • The borrower must return the book (with the same title and author) within the time frame set by the librarian.
  • The borrower must pay twice the cost of the missing book if the book is not available in the market.
  • If the lost book is a multi volume set, the defaulter will be required to replace all of the volumes.
  • If the missing book is rare, the defaulter is required to pay three times the book's cost.
Library Services
  1. Circulation service Easylib Software 4.3.3 automates the library's circulation system (Fully Automated). Bar-coded ID cards were distributed to all members (Students and Staff). Three books are given to undergraduate students and A total of eight to twelve books can be borrowed by the teaching staff.
  2. Periodical Services -The library has a number of technical and general publications and magazines on its racks. As new issues arrive, they will be displayed, and suppliers will be contacted to retrieve any missing copies.
  3. News paper clippings service - Important and relevant information from the newspapers will be shown on the library notice board on a regular basis, and the library website will be updated once a month.
  4. Question paper services BCU question papers from previous years are organized subject wise and made available to users in multiple copies for photocopying. A softcopy of the question papers can be downloaded from the library's website.
  5. Project report services -A copy of all previous year's student projects are kept in the library and also available for reference.
  6. Reprographic Service - A photocopier has been added to the library for the convenience of readers.
Issue of library books for examination
Students can borrow and use library books only during their odd semester exams. To acquire their hall tickets, students must return all library borrowings and pay no library dues at the end of each academic year, i.e. before the start of the semester examinations.
Digital Library
Digital libraries are websites dedicated to the creation and maintenance of electronic book collections and other types of content that do not need end users to purchase the items they want to peruse and read.
